Fundraising 

Fundraising takes the form of a variety of events during the year. Some are one-off events and others are regular in the playgroup's and local community calendar but they all contribute to the overall funds for Ladybirds.

Our regular events are listed below but in the past we have also run anything from cake and tombola stalls at community fayres to a very well received hot soup counter at the local point to point meeting.

Baby Sales 

Over the last couple of years these have become regular fixtures in our fundraising calendar. Held every quarter they are a popular venue for buyers and sellers alike.

All items for baby, mum and toddler at fantastic prices. We sell prams, push chairs, car seats, cots, cribs, sterilisers, baby monitors, toys, outdoor play equipment, clothes and much more. There are also usually some very nice home made cakes on sale too !

You don't have to have a child at Ladybirds to sell at our baby sales, all we ask is that you contact us before the event at babysale@milborneladybirds.org.uk

The baby sales are held at Milborne St Andrew Village Hall always on a Saturday morning between 10.00am and 11.30am and are scheduled as follows :-

Milborne Thrash (Barn Dance) 

Run very successfully for two years solely by Ladybirds this event has been a fantastic success on both occasions. The barn dance with the Black Sheep playing has been an evening enjoyed by everyone attending including all the Ladybird volunteers. With the support of the school this event has been held in the grounds of Milborne First School. This enabled a huge marquee to be set up for the dancing for 250 people, plus seating with additional areas for the beer tent and a very popular hog roast and BBQ.

Unfortunately we unable to run the barn dance in 2009 but watch this space for future years. The Milborne Thrash now has it's very own website www.milbornethrash.org.uk.
